The Dyslexia Trust website goes live
Monday 15th September 2008
Dusza are proud to announce that we have successfully launched The Dyslexia-SpLD Trust (DST) website. The DST is a consortium of organisations involved in promoting improved practice and outcomes for individuals with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties. One of the reasons for establishing the DST is that there is so little good information on effective provision for educating and supporting individuals with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.
Dusza have now been involved in several Dyslexia related website design, web development, search engine marketing and feel strongly about supporting individuals with learning difficulties. We were very pleased to be asked by The DST to assist them with the creation of their website. Both budget and timescales were tight, but Dusza is always happy to bend over backwards to help our clients achieve their goals.
It was essential that the DST website was easy to view, fortunately Dusza has a great deal of experience at designing and programming websites with Website Accessibility in mind. The DST website also benefits from a full Content Management System, which allows DST staff to keep their website up-to-date and to add articles and resources to help its users.
One of the main focuses of the website was the IDP Questionnaire. The questionnaire can be used by individuals to gather baseline information before starting a course of development to help with learning difficulties, it can be used throughout the course to plan activities and also revisited at the end to help measure impact. The questionnaire is also enables The DST to gather essential information about Dyslexia, learning difficulties in general and the development of training courses to help support individuals with learning difficulties.
