DUSZA quickly established that the website goals of the new Blues and Soul site should be to make the most of the existing client base, retain their loyalty and visit trends, whilst making sure search engine exposure was vastly improved. The more traffic, the more advertising opportunities and potentially the more conversions from traffic to realised customers.
Straight away it was apparent that the new website could, in the future contain an ecommerce platform. Data capture was also targeted as a priority, so that in the future Blues and Soul would have a vast database at whom to market offers, competitions, news releases, and products.

Sowing the seeds at this point was essential to the future success of the website. In answer to these client requirements, DUSZA proposed a phased approach, get the basic foundations right and then build on them.
Designed to look slick and exciting, the website design oozes style. A core objective was to retain a magazine feel in order to help readers make the evolutionary step from print to web. In order to make this transition successful it was clear that the Blues and Soul website needed a large volume of quality imagery.
The black backdrop helped highlight the images and really focuses the user on the genre colours.

DUSZA believe all the latest and most relevant information must be presented to the user instantly, so they don't have to go looking for it - or looking elsewhere and leaving the site! The Blues and Soul home page is totally configurable because of the bespoke Content Management System (otherwise known as a cms). Because all of DUSZA's website CMS' are programmed individually to meet each client's needs, Blues and Soul received the right tools for the job.
The home page brings the latest news, features, reviews and competitions to the user and in a single click, they have found what they are looking for. If the user is particularly interested in a specific Genre, they are able to refine all content displayed to only show articles within that genre. It all adds up to a user friendly experience that keeps users returning week after week.
The new website has improved listings on search engines, including the big one - Google. Achieving great search engine exposure in the organic results leads to Blues and Soul receiving high numbers of visitors. High visitor numbers allow Blues and Soul to build their brand and website exposure which has lead to exciting advertising opportunities and sponsorships from the music industry.
