Website accessibility means that people with disabilities can fully engage with the Internet. More specifically, website accessibility means that those with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate and interact with the Internet - so that they can contribute to the Internet. Website accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities.
Millions of people have disabilities which affect their use of the Internet. Currently, most websites and web software have accessibility barriers which make it difficult or impossible for those with disabilities to use the Internet. As more accessible websites and software become available, people with disabilities are able to use and contribute to the Internet more effectively.
Website accessibility also benefits people without disabilities, because it ensures flexibility to meet different users needs, preferences and situations.
DUSZA is an advocate of website accessibility. We strictly adhere to guidelines set out by organisations such as W3C - the World Wide Web Consortium. Mixed with our own initiative and understanding, the websites which we craft are robust and sympathetic to accessibility issues.
DUSZA has developed a number of websites that are for organisations and charities that are specifically targeted at an audience that may require extended accessibility orientated technology. Two examples of DUSZA's accessibility capabilities are extraordinary people who are a high profile charity raising awareness of dyslexia in the UK and lexxic an organisation that aims to help people with dyslexia achieve their full potential.
